      TRAINER/INSTRUCTOR

      Successful candidates for a Trainer/Instructor position will meet the following:

 

       PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

       Experience in one or more of the following area(s): Bathrooms, Electrical/Lighting, Interior Design, Flooring, Hardware/Tools, Kitchens,  

       Lawn & Garden, Millwork, Paint/Wallcoverings, Plumbing, and Wood Staining and Refinishing

 

        JOB REQUIREMENTS

        ·          Three or more years related experience

        ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct oral presentations

·          2 - 6 months of customer service experience

·          Professional, high energy, positive attitude, and team spirit are absolute

 

       KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

·          Possess knowledge of adult learning principles, training methods, and best practices

·          Presentation, teaching and facilitation skills

·          Ability to provide trainee transition support to new instructors

·          Ability to maintain knowledge of current industry trends in area(s) of expertise

·          Ability to influence and train others

·          Strong interpersonal skills, capable of impacting others’ attitudes and opinions

·          Highly organized and possess the ability to work independently and with others

·          Strong knowledge of Customer Service skills and techniques

·          Flexibility in all areas.   Easily adaptable to ever changing environment and requirements

·          Professional appearance and attitude

·          Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
